- SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) – HEP ( Bhankhda-Nangal Dam) & Himalayan forests and vegetation contribute to clean energy resources.
- SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) – Inclusive and sustainable development of the Himalayan cultural heritage helps in reducing inequalities.
- SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) – Preservation and promotion of Himalayan cultural heritage support sustainable urban development. Many towns and cities have developed in the Himalayan region, such as Darjeeling.
- SDG 13 (Climate Action) – Himalayan forests and vegetation act as carbon sinks and help mitigate climate change by absorbing greenhouse gases.
