IndiaSkills 2024: National Skill Competition

Venue: India Expo Mart, Greater Noida.

Organizer: National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under the aegis of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE).

Primary Objective: To create a globally competitive and future-ready skilled workforce.

Categories: Over 650 high-performing participants competed across 63 skill categories.

Skills Demonstrated: Participants showcased the highest standards of technical proficiency, innovation, and discipline (e.g., Cloud Computing, Electronics, Mobile App Development, and Fashion Technology).

Winners: A total of 288 participants were honored with medals.

  • Gold Medals: 63

  • Silver Medals: 64

  • Bronze Medals: 68

  • Medallions for Excellence: 93

Performance of States:

  1. Odisha: Secured the top position in the medal tally with 57 medals.

  2. Tamil Nadu: Secured the second position with 46 medals.

Women’s Participation: The winners included 45 women, symbolizing the increasing participation of women in both traditional and non-traditional areas of skill development.

International Representation: The national winners will represent India at the WorldSkills Competition 2026, often referred to as the “Olympics of Skills”,  to be held in Shanghai, China.

IndiaSkills National Competition 2025-26 begins in Greater Noida, showcasing top talent
