- Academy puraskar: It is the highest Indian recognition given to people in the field of performing arts traditionally conferred by the President of India at a special ceremony. The Akademi Awards have been conferred since 1952.
· The General Council of the Akademi has selected 108 artists from the field of Music, Dance, Theatre, Traditional/Folk/Tribal/Music/Dance/Theatre/Puppetry, and Overall Contribution/ Scholarship and others in the Performing Arts for the Sangeet Natak Akademi Awards (Akademi Puraskar) for the years 2024 & 2025.
· Prize: ₹1,00,000 in cash, a Tamrapatra (copper plaque), and an Angavastram (traditional shawl).

· Prize: a rare distinction restricted to 40 eminent artists at a time, which carries a cash prize of ₹3,00,000.

· Akademi has selected 106 young artists for Sangeet Natak Akademi, Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar for the years 2024 and 2025
· Prize: A prize money of Rs. 25,000/- (Rupees twenty-five thousand only) besides a Tamrapatra and an Angavastram
· This award is for Young outstanding practitioners upto the age of 40 years.
· total number of Yuva Puraskar in a year shall not exceed 33.
· The Yuva Puraskar may be given in the following five Fields of activity:

· Dance
· Theatre
· Other Traditional / Folk/ Tribal/ Dance/ Music/ Theatre and Puppetry
