Shikshapatri

  • News: The Shikshapatri, one of the most significant and rare Hindu scriptures, is currently on a nationwide UK tour launched by the Bodleian Libraries at the University of Oxford. 

  • This tour marks the 200th anniversary of the manuscript.

  • About Shikshapatri 

    • Composed in 1826 by Sahajanand Swami at Vadtal in Gujarat, the Shikshapatri means "a letter of teachings." 

    • The manuscript itself contains 212 Sanskrit verses that summarize key teachings derived from Hindu scriptures.
